THE FIRM

EDC Landscape Consultants Sdn. Bhd. (EDC) was formed in 1983, then of Environmental Design Consultants (1976 - 1983). The firm is a major Malaysian joint venture, aimed at developing specialized Malaysian skills in environmental site development planning and landscape architectural design. The practice operates out of two (2) offices, in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, and undertakes works throughout the countries of South East Asia.

EDC is an independent organization and has accumulated considerable experience in multi-discipline consortium works and in collaboration with various other agencies and consultants.

EDC is staffed with a team of professionals representing many areas of technical expertise, including environmental concept planning, landscape architecture, tourism and resorts planning. EDC’s experience in visual management is very extensive and has been our ‘mainstay’ in land development since 1976. Long before the enactment of environmental laws, EDC has evaluated visual resources in a project area using the assessment information to balance the aesthetic and economics of land use planing. Our visual resource management, land planning and master plan concepts have assisted our clients in obtaining governmental approvals without unnecessary delays. A state of the art computer aided drafting system is used by the design group to help create the best possible design and respond to a unusually diverse set of planning and design challenges.

Environmental Design Consultants collaborative, one (1) of California’s leading landscape architecture and site planning firms, was established twenty (20) years ago with its head office in San Diego, USA. During the past twenty (20) years, Environmental Design Consultants collaborative with a team of professional landscape architects, architects, town planners and engineers has developed a broadly based practice with particular emphasis on land planning, recreational resorts, parks design and civic beautification, and a wide variety of landscape design in housing development.

This group of highly qualified and experienced environmental designers have gained their knowledge from working on projects around the world.

The resources of Environmental Design Consultants collaborative are readily available to EDC as and when the need arises.
